A Conversation for A Very Brief History of the Pocket

Very good and well researched! Let's not forget the the 'kerchief in the breast pocket is for 'show' and the one in the jacket pocket is for 'blow'! I also remember my father performing his 'spectacles, testicles, watch, wallet' routine some mornings (humorously) ostensibly crossing himself while checking three pockets and his privates (we don't get to choose our family...).

I agree. I had always kinda wondered when the first pockets were worn. Easy to read and informative - well done! Incidentally, the Irish for pocket is póca - possibly related to the Old English.
You've given me a new appreciation of my pockets. Which I thought was *impossible*
