"Brilliant!"

another excellent article on another of my favourite shows-great to see it on the ever wonderful h2g2! smiley - biggrin

there's nothing (no really, nothing!) more pleasant than
lounging on a comfy chair, drinking Vodka & Peach, eating fun-size Bountys (for the Torquay experience) and reading
the illustrated scripts of Fawlty Towers-try it!

My personal favourite episode is The Wedding Anniversary-fantastic!

The last line of the last Fawlty Towers
episode is one of my favo(u)rite lines of
all times: "Would you care for a rat?"

Trying to pretend that everything is under control,
and that an apparently out-of-control situation
is really part of an intentional plan, Basil
Fawlty embarrasses himself in front of the hotel
inspector. smiley - laugh

What I always wondered about "The Rat" was whether
there were no more Fawlty Towers episodes because
the hotel inspector closed the place down because
of the rat. This would make sense, wouldn't it?

The episode was made even funnier by the fact that
this rat, who was feared by everyone except Manuel,
was a sweet, cuddly animal that you couldn't help
rooting for. smiley - smiley
