Bog Standard Traditional French Viaigrette:
For about 1/2 pint of vinaigrette...
Three parts olive oil to one part white wine wine vinegar and one tablespoon of French Dijon mustard (Maille is a great one). Not wholegrain though, it's too sweet and English is too hot...
Throw all the ingredients into a jar, shake until well mixed and drizzle over salad.
A great herb to add to dressing is tarragon, but you have complete licence to add whatever you like to this base.
