A Conversation for Salad Recipes

Greek-ish salad

Primord

the recipes for greek salad usually call for Feta Cheese-but this works fine with Cheddar Cheese.

what you need:
-equipment-
a knife, a salad bowl and kitchen paper.
-food stuff-
an Iceberg lettuce, four tomatoes, a jar/tin of Olives,
a piece of cheese ( a two inch by two inch piece from a block-cut into cubes)
Olive Oil-or Olive Oil infused with Garlic (do this by putting the oil in a jar and adding two peeled cloves of garlic, and leave to infuse for two weeks)

wash and dry the lettuce, and tear into bite sized pieces.
cut the tomatoes into rough chunks. cut the olives long ways
into quarters. place into salad bowl. drizzle with the oil. add the cubes of cheese-give a good mix and serve. If you can-try sprinkling with fresh herbs-either basil or coriander.
A good accompaniment is hot slices of crusty bread or ciabatta, hot from the grill or oven.

enjoy!
