not only has it been read: things change their meanings over time: as such, now Allen Ginsburg is truly a Dead Beat Daddy -- but SEE! how language retains contextual meaning over time - that substance that even the crippled and invalid do travel!
That being said Ginsburg affected the Mods...not much.
But this is the burgeoning beginning of the cyberpunk age. Somewhere someone wants me to "look sharp". I am a moderator and a moderate punk, but Mod Punk was never established as a real genre, it simply is. Not even John Lydon is as intensely punk rock as he was back in the seventies because simply, few understand what he is talking about, even compared to the Punk heyday. Which it ain't, right now. The cyberpunk WRITERS were only looking at punk from an 'outside looking in' perspective -- but many of them were involved on the fringes of Hip, including Philip K. Dick, author of endlessly influential "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep."
