Today the newsreader Nicholas Owen has had his complaint about Brass Eye rejected. This is in a similar vein to Barbara Follett's and Syd Rapson's complaints; it was jusged that Mr Owen should have checked the accuracy of the silly things he was being asked to repeat. The fact that he didn't check was his own fault, and therefore any ridicule he receives is also his own fault.

Yup. If your a public figure, you ought to check the validity of those that approach you. What were the peeps opn ali-g thinking of! Though I must admit, the peeps that fell for the brass eye satire wouldn't have expected a joke tv program about paedos!
