Swindon is awful, agreed. I went there once. (On business, so I didn't see any of the sights; indeed, it may be argued that I haven't actually been there at all.) However, Swindon is the birthplace and home of XTC, and this more than makes up for it's otherwise awfulness.
I can't BELIEVE you wrote about Swindon without mentioning it's one redeeming feature!
