Nice to be reminded of home! I grew up in Erith and could see the Dartford Bridge from my bed room window. smiley - ok

I even remeber a trip to the tunnels when I was a cub scout. They'd closed one of the tunnels late at night for maintenance and we got permission to walk through it, there's actually a plaque on the wall where Kent and Essex meet which we all got our photograph underneath! smiley - biggrin

I didn't know that about the plaque! Bt of course we're always doing 50mph through the tunnels, so they are hard to spot. I'll pay more attention next time I'm a passenger.

I'm glad you liked the entry and that it reminded you of home. I still think of the tunnel as a new thing, but it's been there for over ten years now.
