A Conversation for Bottle-openers
If you can't open the bottle, you aren't old enough to drink the beer
Captain Kebab Started conversation Jan 6, 2002
I discovered in my tender years that if you buy a bottle of beer with the intention of drinking it befoer you go home, a bottle opener may not be to hand.
Two things spring to mind.
1. It is no coincidence that many key-rings have a bottle opener incorporated.
2. If you hold a bottle with the edge of its cap against a garden wall, and strike the shoulder of the bottle firmly with your palm, you can get the cap off cleanly. Practice is required.
