I see you mention the method of eating the big cubic one by deconstruction, layer by layer, but this technique can also be used to great effect on all of the "compound" allsorts. Try peeling off the liquorice layer from around the cylidrical white paste, or removing the coconut ring from round the liquorice cylinder on that other type.
Also, a truly horrendous way to liven up the boring square ones - squish them flat prior to consumption. They are surprisingly maleable and can be flattened into very thin sheets.

Has anybody ever tried making a super-allsort, licking the ends of the cubes and sticking them together to make as massive stick of allsort?
I haven't but I think it might work

I once bought two large packets, picked of all the white paste and coconut and roleld it into a big ball with a rolling pin I then put it in the fridge and ate bits at a time.
