Good entry, heres an intresting side note for you...
Top fuel dragsters do not run on petrol instead they run on a substance called Nitromethane 
. The up side of this is that it produces roughly twice as much power per litre than petrol does. The down side is that on of the exhaust byproducts it releases is very similar to CS gas/powder. 
As a result when the pit crews are working on a Top fuel Dragster in a whilst the engine is running it is not unusual to see them wearing full face gas masks!
