I rectntly cycled this canal route (from Balloch to falkirk) in order to see the falkirk wheel, which was not worth the journey.
But the cycle itself went through some nice countryside ,although parts of the track within Glasgow itself were ,erm ,dangerous looking. 90% of the trip was enjoyable , but in the last few miles I got very saddle sore!!!!
The whole trip was at least 80 miles and took approx 7 and a half hours ( not including lunch ).
