Another relatively humane way to kill the thing...
Takes a while, though. Some say it tenderizes and flavours the meat.
I've also heard that broiling in a bed of seaweed is good, both for flavour and the steam which cooks the beastie.

I presume this would be in a large dish, in a refrigerator? I suppose the alcohol might numb the creature quite quickly.
I've never really got to grips with the American use of the word 'broiling' Is this what we Brits would say 'grilling' ie underneath a hot flame? (or grill?) The seaweed sounds good though

Yes, a container big enough to hold the lobsters, cover with equal parts wine and club soda.
Broiling/Grilling- almost interchangeable here in Canada. The general idea to me is that grilling is under a flame and broiling is under some other hot source like an electric element. I could be wrong, though- that's just the impression I have.

We simply call them either a gas or electric grill.
