I could see myself wrestling it to the ground and then the little rubber bands snapping and me ending up covered in little bruises and cuts trying to coax the thing into the freezer for a nap.

I have seen chefs chill them and kill them as well before cooking them. A knife just behind the head is supposed to kill them outright without affecting the cooking or meat etc.
