how to cope without alcohol?

i do believe that my roommate and myself and possibly our buddy down the hall are the only students on our campus who don't get pish-drunk every other day... the only release for me from my deep, dark, dismal loathing for all academic toilings seems to be curling up in a fetal position and removing all distractions between me and my computer screen, where i will be watching one of my five dvd's... i find The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert to be the best remedy for reality.
but it's good to know that my recent paralyzing dread probably isn't signalling the onset of schizophrenia... just finals...

actually, I'm all for having a good time *and* being sober at the same time. For one thing, it allows one to go to slepp secure in the knowledge that the only incriminating photos of you in stupid/embarrassing/compromising/illegal positions are the ones that you know about.
Personally, I don't drink that much. I average maybe a beer once every two or three weeks. But alcohol does play an awfully large part in many end-of-the-year social functions, whether one partakes of it or not.
