Gnomon - time to move on

It's normally spelled "Carrowkeel" which might help you find it in a search? The entry A3181673 Irish Neolithic Tombs tells about all the different types of tomb, but it doesn't deal with legends. The legends about neolithic tombs in Ireland tend to be either:

1) It's the grave of a giant

2) It's a place where the fairies live, so you shouldn't go near it.

3) If you go three times around it anticlockwise, you'll mee the Devil.

They tend not to be any more specific than that. The only tomb that I can think of that has a specific story attached is Newgrange itself, which was the "home of Aengus the Magician".
