Let's not forget the last daring act of ZTT, essentially a dance label, who in 1993 signed the unsignable and produced the last great Shane MacGowan records before his inevitable decline.
The album "The Snake" and the singles "Church of the Holy Spook"; That Woman's Got Me Drinking"; "The Song With No Name"; "Haunted" and "You're the One" are among the greatest, and the most daring (if not the most sucessful) that the label ever produced.

I love that old ba****d as well. Have you read the book written by his girlfriend, yet? What a character.

What an irritating git too. He is one of the true lyrical geniuses and yet he's completely destroyed himself - like so many. One assumes that Victoria didn't set out to do a hatchet job on him, so i assume those interviews were the better (if not the best) side of Shane. Sad. But what a talent.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
