A Conversation for International Weather Wisdom

In actual fact, the proverb goes:-
March Winds, April Showers
Bring Forth May Flowers.
I think this is correct for several reasons. Firstly, I was told it by my Mum! Secondly, I guess that the winds spread the pollen, then the rain waters in the seed so that it may go on to produce those lovely blooms.
It would seem, then, that this Old Wives Tale has a basis in scientific fact!
