What about Knuckles Chaotix for the short-lived 32X? Or Sonic Adventure 1, 2, and 2: Battle? Or Sonic Spinball? Or Sonic R?

Hi there!
Knuckles Chaotix did not include Sonic or Tails in the line-up, but (re)introduced characters not previously known... Nack the Weasel, Espio the Chameleon, Mighty the Armadillo, the flying bee thing and the crocodile with the Walkman... which is why it isn't in the sequels list.
The others you have listed have been mentioned (ie. Sonic Spinball), some not by name due to their failure to blow away the competition.

The characters you failed to name in that last post (the crocodile and the bee) were named as Victor the Crocodile and Charmy Bee and there is a few more games you missed out
Sonic Shuffle (board game that didnt do well)
Sonic Drift 2 which was released in the US and UK even though the original didnt make it over
Sonic Labaranth, a maze like game where sonic was devoid of his speed but had to try and make his way cross obsicles, a little like sonic 3d (which had 2 names Sonic 3d Blast in the US and Japan but in the uk was Sonic 3d flickys island) and Sonic R a neat 3D racing which was a bit too easy but was still fun to play due to the bright techno songs
then theres the Game Gear/ Master system games you totally left out
Sonic 1 - The Mega Drive game but only the name, character and first level is as the same as it gets the levels change, the bosses are different the chaos emeralds are in the levels and the last level and ending is different too
Sonic 2 (Sonic and Tails in Japan) nothing to do with the Mega Drive game, tails was out of the game till the end because he had been captured by Robotnik and you had to save him
sonic triple trouble (Sonic and Tails 2) Knuckles makes his first Game Gear appearence same differences to the MD game Sonic 3 ect.
Tails Adventure a game where you used your wits to help tails to save Tails island, a place he found when taking a holiday from sonic
Tails' Sky Patrol a cute game where tails flys though the air with a power ring which he used to help him though obsticles and to hit baddies with
Sonic Blast featured Sonic plus Knuckles in a 2d game but had the chars in a 3dish look
Dont forget the games that didnt make it eather Sonic Crackers a strange game thats like chaotix but with only sonic and tails (there isnt real proof though that this is Sonic 4 nor a early beta to chaotix too) The Sonic 2 Beta ROM (that is well known in the sonic community) and Sonic Extreme The flagship saturn game that got canned for unknown reasons

No need to be so brash. I'm only human. I am not part of the Sonic gaming community that you speak of. I either left it out because I didn't find it. The entry is about the game 'Sonic the Hedgehog' for the Sega Megadrive, and NOT the Sonic the Hedgehog games series for the other consoles. Mentioning other Sonic games for the other consoles only backs up the fact I made about it passing on to other consoles as well. If I wrote about every single sequel it wouldn't be about Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and the Megadrive games. If I have missed some sequels out, it would be because I didn't find them, or the entry got recommended before I could add any more.
Saying that I 'failed to name' the characters suggests that I was participating in some kind of quiz. I have never played Knuckles Chaotix and so wouldn't know anyway. Your demeaning manner of what I had no knowledge of does not particularly help either. Many points had no relevance whatsoever. I would not make judgements without knowing the full story of why things were, as you say, 'totally' left out. Sequels are only a small part of the entry, and the majority relates directly to the title of this entry.
This would be why I didn't add the Sega Pico game with Tails. Again, another spinoff from the Sonic the Hedgehog games series. It is irrelevant to the main point - the Sonic the Hedgehog game.
And it's not Victor, it's Vector the Crocodile.
Thank you for your comments,

sorry for sounding brash or anything ^^;; I just wanted to point out games you missed and so on. I also applogise for not making my message about the games clear too. As for the Sonic Community there is a whole load of sonic websites and message boards around to be looked for try taking a look at www.sonichq.org they have heaps of info on sonic and many links too

Well... you seem very knowledgeable about the whole Sonic series... perhaps you could write an entry or so on the subject. The Guide is desperately in need of more Sonic entries, IMHO...
I appear to have forgotten my manners Welcome to H2G2! Is there a particular nickname you would like to be known by? Researcher 197382, although original is a bit of a handful, and people enjoy giving themselves a nickname using the Preferences button
The traditional greeting is usually from the ACEs... people who... well... 'greet'... new Researchers on their Personal Space on the Discuss button. At the moment, the Discuss button won't appear until you alter your Personal Space... ACEs are terribly picky about this (you didn't hear it from me, okay? I'm not an ACE myself.)
I hope that you enjoy your stay on H2G2 as much as everyone else has!
