Great article! I loved the Professor Branestawn books, I can remember rolling round in stitches when I first read them.
Unfortunately my brother thinks our copies disappeared in a move/clearout sometime . I may have to see if I can find some more!

I have a Puffin Books boxed set, which contains the first three titles mentioned above plus the dictionary. They must have been some of the most-read books of my childhood, and I suspect they are going to be re-read very soon indeed!
