Has anyone else been to the pyramids. When I went I could not believe how much larger they were than I expected. I went in the smallest one, it was so hot. The outside seemed cool in comparison. So glad that I went though.

When I went, I had been warned that no matter how big you expected them to be, they were even bigger. With this in mind, I expected them to be REALLY big. But they were even bigger.

I didn't think they were all that great. They didn't strike me as being all that huge either. I visited New York City a couple of years later. Those buildings impress me.
The building project that has impressed me the most is the Atlanta Motor Speedway. I saw it while it was being rebuilt. It's huge. There's tons of dirt moved. And it's all built so that cars can drive around in circles. That impresses me.
I did think it was odd how close the Cairo was to the pyramids. I mean the city is right there. All the pictures make the pyramids look like exotic structures out in the middle of the desert. In reality, they're practically in the city.
