A Conversation for Orchestral Percussion - the Kitchen Sink Department
INCLUDING the Kitchen Sink ...

I realize the entry is on "orchestral" percussion, but percussion ensembles have become popular, even on the concert stage at Rice University's Shepherd School of music in Houston, Texas, a strictly "classical" institution ... sort of.
So, yes, I'm OT. But just to mention it, the touring percussion/dance group "Stomp" does in fact play five or so kitchen sinks, worn around the neck by the ensemble players. Water is added, and in the finale drained, in one case with a little "shake" as I recall. A great act, IMHO.
