Fool the Toff
Richard Started conversation Dec 3, 2002
Fool The Toff involves America, romance, a murder and a blown up Bentley. Small parts for Aunt Glory and Bill Ebbutt. Set in London and Wimbledon.
Book cover synopsis:
Was the matrimonial agency a racket? Jane Abbott met her husband there and he vanisted – with her money. The Toff went to see Miss love of the agency and found a remarkable woman. There was Jeremiah Matt, an equally remarkable man. In fact the Toff met many new acquaintances, some rather strange. One made a fool of him – others tied.
Good yarn about Jane, left a fortune (in the States without knowing it) and goes to a marriage agency. Here husband vanishes with what she thinks is all her money (a trifle compared to her fortune).
