I worked for E.K.Cole in Malmesbury 1961/5. Main production was radio (several makes including Ferranti, electrical heaters, including storage heaters - in great demand in those day and,later, gas heaters, 1st and 2nd order control systems. We used the old telecomms workshops to test storage heaters. Some of the workers had been at the factory since the radar days. I lived in Hobbes Close where my youngest daughter was born.
