The ISS
Imagine spending Christmas in orbit - would it be fun or a bit lonely being away from your loved ones? The crew of the ISS (International Space Station) would appreciate a wave from the people of Earth as they orbit the globe, and you can find out when to wave by logging onto Heavens Above and selecting 'select from map' in the configuration section. A google map will load and you select your location, then your name and town then click submit. The homepage will reload with your information stored. Then click on "Satellites" then "ISS" and the overpasses will be configured to your location. You can then watch out for the ISS passing over you, but that's not all. The crew can't see you, but they'd like to know you're waving, so, let them know! Click on "Home" and then select "observations" from the Satellite section, and you can add your observation. By the way, did you know there are such things as butterflynauts? They are butterflies which have emerged from their cocoons in space. Well, on board the ISS in space.
