If we are going to rip on bad leads I feel obligated to defend my half of the dancing relationship (I lead) and comment of some problems I have had with follows over the years. Spaghetti arms is one. Its like trying to lead with a wet rope. Anticipation is another, just becasue it seems like im going to do a swing out does not give you permission to ignore the rest of my signals for the next five moves until you are done. My third big beef is excessive hijacking. While I know the goal of all swing should be to make the girl look good that does not mean that you can add beats to do some fun little style that I have absolutly no control over and then do it again and again every single move.
