I loved the article. It's wierd, when you speak the languages, you don't realise that there are words like that until someone points them out. Nice one!

My personal favourite was "gift"

General Heinrici (the man who drew the short straw in 1945 and who had to command the last defence line east of Berlin and try and keep the Russians at bay - he managed to hold an army twenty times the size of his own at bay for ten days) was known to his troops as "der Giftzwig" - the Poison Dwarf...
