A Conversation for Gherkins
Why?

Why has this appeared in the 'most overlooked' on the front page? I think it's - but I only spotted it because it WAS in the 'most overlooked' on the front page. Well, I've unoverlooked it now.
I always eat the gherkin in my burger, and we have them often at home with a meal. Fried plaice in breadcrumbs served with mixed salad, potato salad, coleslaw - and sliced gherkins - is great. We usually would have pickled onions too. Don't hold the mayo.

The gherkin is definitely a much maligned vegetable. It seems every time we get takeaway burgers I'm the only person not delicately peeling open my burger and carefully removing little pieces of inoffensive crunchy vegetable nestling among all that bland salad... Of course, these are usually blokes who can handle ultra-hot chillis and so on, so why they have to be so fussy about this is a mystery that needs to be solved.
Good page. More unusual fruit and veg must have scope for coverage.
