One man has done more reserch into the reactions of metals, liquids and rectaionary catalsyts, namely ethanol and water solutions, and should get an element, named after him. See this A1010214 for details on Osbornium

First, any new element name must be given in honour to a dead person. (That IS a rule, there was that discussion about naming Seaborgium Seaborgium even though Seaborg was alive at the time - when he died in 1999 things got easier - not many people use that nomenclature, though). Now, Mr. Osbourne is (still) living. Second, maybe thre should be a Hendrixium before some comitee decides on Osbornium.

Yah, yah...

Pluto is named after the planet Pluto.

Because it comes after Uranus (Uranium) and Neptune (Neptunium).

The planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were all named after the Roman gods. Pluto the roman god was named after Micky Mouse's dog. Dog spelled backwards is god, case closed
