Since we are talking about ovelooked we should mention Julius Lothar Meyer, who independantly from Mendeleev, discovered the periodic table. He is the real overlooked one, because usually he is never mentioned when talking about the periodic table.

Oh yes, of course. Lothar Meyer surely deserves a mention in the periodic table entry. But I think this entry is not on the Periodic table, but a bio on Mendeleev. So....
Lothar Meyer surely did some lot of good work (I think he is even mentioned in the history of the periodic table entry - if not maybe he could have a footnote there). I don't really think that Lothar Meyer is underrated or even overlooked. Mendeleev's Table is way more elaborate and precise, plus, it was also published before Meyer's work.
I'll do some more reading on that though. Anyways, I think that Mayer should not be included in THIS entry.
