A Conversation for 'Wacky Races' - the TV Series
But who won the Championship

I heard on BBC Radio 5 live once that somebody watched all the episodes on video and ranked the winners points in the same scale as Formula 1. I seem to remember the winner being the Boulder Mobile, but I'm not 100% sure, anybody else know?

Not sure but the Radio 4 Comedy fest 'The Now Show' did a brilliant sketch about Louis Theroux interviewing Dick Dastardly & Muttley.

Well, I can confirm that someone did rank them. I don't remember who would have won the championship, except that they never actually won a race, but got there by the sheer number of second places.

There's a winners chart on 'It's the Wacky Races' a website which is linked on my page.
It took down all the results and concluded it was a draw ((they all came joint first except DD who was last), but F1 style scoring would alter that I suppose, because of the uneven intervals between points.

Not sure how that site concludes it was a draw based on the stats there. Anyway, taking those figures (only 1st, 2nd and 3rd) and applying the F1 points system, we get:
Points 1 2 3 Name
90 3 8 3 The Boulder Mobile
82 3 6 4 The Buzzwagon
78 4 5 2 The Ant Hill Mob
72 3 3 6 The Creepy Coupe
72 4 2 5 The Compact Pussycat
66 3 4 3 The Crimson Haybailer
62 3 2 5 The Convert-A-Car
62 4 1 4 The Arkansas Chugabug
60 4 2 2 The Turbo Terrific
36 3 1 0 The Army Surplus Special
0 0 0 0 The Mean Machine
I think you can make that out, just about.
Anyway, congratulations to Gedge... it _was_ The Boulder Mobile.
