This is similar to Jug and Strainer, but sometimes you don't have a jug or a strainer. If you've got nothing but coffee and a pan of water, you can still make something stimulating and non-letahl.
Cowboy style means you bring the water to a boil in a pan or whatever, then you remove the heat and add the grounds (or whatever) directly to the water. Allow a few minutes for the coffee to make and then comes the trick. You don't want to drink coffee with a bunch of grounds floating around in it. So take a little *cold* water on your hand and sprinkle it on top of the water in the pan. This will cause the grounds to sink to the bottom. Then a decent cup o' joe can be scooped out with your mug.
