hi- I am an original owner of 1978 bald little people w/ pacifier. The signature on the left rear is xavier roberts. There isn't a date w/ the signature. She has never been touched or played with. How do I go about re-adopting her? I need to see how much she is worth.Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your time.

If she's a '78 doll, I'm guessing that she's cloth then, and not plastic, right?
Your best bet is probably to watch eBay for awhile, and see what similar dolls are selling for. Some of the things that will make a difference can be:
* Whether the doll still has the clothing, papers, tags, etc., that originally came with it
* The conditions under which the doll has been stored -- people will pay more for a doll that has been stored in a dry, smoke-free home.
* Whether the doll has acquired any marks or funky odors.
Good luck!

Yes she is a soft sculpt.
she is in her original clothing- I am the original owner- definately a smoke free home. Has been stored in a airtight container. I have a picture of my mom receiving the doll in 1980 w/ the clothing that she is wearing to this day. There isn't any markings on her & she has never been touched. I have been watching ebay and the ones that I see are no where in the same condition as the one that I own. I do have all original documentation. I am just wondering is ther a place I can find out her value? I am an ebay seller and buyer but I just don't see any comparable. Is there any other suggestions that you might have? I appreciate it greatly!!!!

There is a book called "Encyclopedia of Cabbage Patch Kids", it's a Schiffer Book for Collectors with Price Guide. It focuses mostly on the plastic, mass market dolls, but it does have a chapter about the soft sculpture dolls. For the dolls that have the same characteristics you described, the book listed current values ranging from $250-1500, with most in the $300-700 range. The book was published in 1999, though, and it seems likely that values would have changed a bit since then.
Do you know which edition the doll was, does it say on any of the paperwork? That apparently makes a big difference. The fact that your doll is from 1978 should increase the value, since that was the first year they were sold, I believe.
I'd think there are probably websites out there just for collectors of the soft-sculpture ones, that might be another good way to get some estimates.
