Are you familiar with their older stuff. I am one of these people that can never make out the reaL lyrics of tunes.
In Chelsea Monday, Fish does a wee talky bit. I have worked out most of it over the years but am still stuck on one bit. The bit immediately before "blond hair, blue eyes"
REALLY hope you can help me Silly Willy

That's probably the hardest of the talkie bits. I always thought it was :
Hello john
Did you see me staring about 4 hours ago?
This woman jumped off the old farmhouse.
Blonde hair, blue eyes.
Said she wanted to be an acress or something.
Nobody knows where she came from, or where she was going.
Funny thing was she had a smile on her face.
She was smiling.
What a waste.
But I've just listened to the remaster, and now I'm not so sure. Thanks for reminding me what a great album Script is though....

That sounds likely! Excellent! You know the wat these things eat away at your mind.....
I always thought it was something to do with chips and father but as I've never heard Thames refered to as that before
Cheers again Dollface!

From marillion.com:
Hello John, did you see The Standard about four hours ago?
Fished a young chick out of The Old Father
Blond hair, blue eyes. She said she wanted to be an actress or something
Nobody knows where she came from, where she was going
Funny thing was she had a smile on her face
She was smiling, what a waste

Ahhhhh!!! The Standard!!!!! Thats sounds perfect. God, isn't it great that you can find out these things, so easily, compared to HOURS of pressing our ear against the speaker or trying a different set of headphones or a better sound system..
I'll die happy now!

Sure you can look up the web. But isn't it better to spend hours with your ear against the speaker?
