Sometimes filing things in reverse order is the most sensibly way of doing it. Correspondence on a matter might be stored with the oldest letters at the back and the most recent letter or form on the front or top. This saves having to move the entire contents of the folder just to check whether a particular letter has been received when progress is being monitored on a project. It may seem strange at first but makes things easier after a period of time, in certain circumstances.
As long as all team members use the same practice it works well.
