A Conversation for Museums and Galleries You Can Get into for Free
Norway

Most museums in Oslo, capital of Norway, have started letting people in for free. This happened some years ago, when they discovered that they made more money from lots of people buying expensive lattes and souvenirs, than from few people buying expensive tickets and not having enough money left for a latte. Among the better ones are the National Gallery (about two blocks north of the National Theatre metro station), the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art / AF-MOMA in Dronningensgate, and Stenersenmuseet in Munkedamsveien. The beautiful park with the Stave church at Bygdøy, however, is not free (but still worth a visit for those with cash).

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
