when this was first discovered, there were a lot of people who started to call it Xena
I haven't seen the name of it's companion untill now, but I can't help but think that The Lawless One may be a nod of the head to Xena's Lucy Lawless

when first discovered it had a number then the discoverer gave an unofficial nickname "Xena" from the TV show and the moon was called
Gabrielle. then when the controversy hit he came up with the name Eris and perhaps had Lucy lawless in his mind when he chose which of Eris's daughters to honor with the moons name.
