A Conversation for Single Pipe Steam Heat

why i miss my radiator

Post 1

broelan

i grew up in an old house with radiated heat (not sure what kind, but we had radiators). one of my favorite things to do in the winter was to put my blanket over the radiator a bit before i went to bed, then when i did go to bed, my blanket would already be warm.

i've only had time to read part of your article, but i will finish it when i return smiley - smiley

Since today we have 90°F/30°C weather, I am a bit stretched to imagine the sentiment.

But say it again in December and I will probably wholeheartedly agree.

we hit upper 80's, over 85F here, i know what you mean. and i just can't bring myself to turn the air conditioner on yet. we've been getting mid & high 80's since the middle of april (very unseasonal). but regardless, when i think of radiators, i see mittens and scarves laid out on top and boots sitting underneath smiley - smiley
