I really enjoyed this entry - thanks for all the information! I have been wearing the continuous wear contact lenses for the best part of 2 years now and I find them wonderful. I'm too young and too chicken to go for the laser treatment so these are the next best thing. I can wear them for 30 days straight, even when sleeping. They can be a bit uncomfortable the first day or 2 of a new pack, but after that they settle down and it's great. I have checkups on my eyes every 2-3 months to be sure all's ok and the optician says my eyes are very healthy. So, if your local optician is offering a free trial I would definitely recommend you have a go! The first week it is very difficult to sleep as it seems so "wrong" to sleep in your lenses, but after a few difficult nights your eyes/brain accept you're not trying to hurt yourself and now I've no problems.
