Is anyone else annoyed by the sudden flood of Bagpuss merchandise? I'm seeing 17 year old students with the pencil cases/mobile covers/t-shirts etc. No way are they old enough to remember bagpuss first time round, they're jumping on the retro tv bandwagon.
Or am I just unreasonably bitter because (sob! Drowns in self pity!) there were no Bagpuss toys around when I was little and really could have appreciated them?

~I too was gutted to see bagpuss items on sale now. Where was it when we needed it? As for those young ones who buy it now maybe they are new converts who have seen this fab cat!

How many people are interested in owning a LIFE SIZED Bagpuss, hand amde and as close to owning the real thing as possible?
A Liverpool company called The Thinking Cap also does hand-made Bagpusses, larger and less saggy than the other ones, and also more expensive at £45 (including postage and packing). Extravagant souls can find them in some gift shops (including the one upstairs at London's Liverpool Street Station), or could contact...
