'Laning' in Devon
Ste Started conversation Apr 25, 2001
Not pronounced 'lanning', but 'lane-ing'. It involves driving as fast as possible whilst trying to avoid death. This is the most fun I've ever had driving. All of the tiny, windey, and hilly country roads in Devon are 'national speed limit applies' roads. I.e., 60mph. Racing through avenues of trees, inches away from the hedges and the beautiful South Hams countryside. A great way to get places. Like Newton Abbot. Or not as the case my be.
Sadly I live in dull dull Hertfordshire, people living in Devon will be pleased to hear.
