A Conversation for Clarinets

Condor clarinets?

Has anyone ever heard of a brand of clarinet called Condor?
I've got one and am wondering whether it's rare or just rubbish!

I've never heard of them. Does it say on the clarinet where it is made?

The best way to decide whether it is rubbish or not is to play it. If it sounds good, then it is not rubbish.

Can you describe the clarinet to us? Is it Albert System or Boehm System? How old do you think it is? Is it made of plastic or wood? What colour are the pads?

Well to be honest I don't really know the different key systems. Shocking considering I've been playing for ages now! It's plastic and has sort of creamy-white pads (but they've been replaced recently).
It doesn't say anywhere on it where it's made. Someone said it might be American? I really wouldn't know the difference, but would like too! It does sound great though and I've performed on it before.

When you play a middle C and then put down the index finger of your right hand, either you get a B (semitone below C) which would indicate it is Albert System, or a B flat (whole tone below C) which means it is a Boehm System.

If it plays well, then treasure it, wherever it is from.
