A Conversation for Red Dwarf - The TV Series

Can you add a bit more?

There has been Eight series of Red Dwarf, each one adding to the legend of the Jupiter Mining core and all that you can say is, "Oh and Lister likes Vindaloo"

I have only been here a short while but it does seem that this review is a little skimpy to say the least!!

I must agree here (and I'm new, so I don't have many articles to compare with)... No offense, but it feels like you rushed it.

Very keen fan I am, but why would others want a little more added to the brief when you should know it all anyway? Unless of course you are trying to get more people to like the show - but that isn't needed I am pretty sure that with the forthcoming release of the movie, there will be more fans soon.

However, if I read it correctly then the brief said that when Lister emerged from stasis he only had three companions - cat, rimmer and kryten. This is incorrect for a start; when he emerged all he had as companions were holly the ships computer with an IQ of 6000 (although computer senile after 3,000,000 years), Rimmer who is one of his dead crewmates and the person who Lister despises the most, and Cat - a descendant from Frankenstien (listers pregnant pet cat) who looks humanoid in form but possesses pointy teeth. Then they found Kryten who Lister liberated from being a service droid, and then later on they found Kristine Kochanski by accident (a rift in dimensions, but I won't go into that).

I admit that whoever wrote this brief needs to straighten things out so that future fans will understand what's going on, but sometimes when you try to go into too much detail it becomes like the above - a little dull.

This entry was written way back at the start of the project in 1999 and as such reflects the style of entry that was written back then - short and concise. As the Guide has grown, so the style of writing has changed, so now we have large, detailed entries on subjects. We are looking into improving the update system though.
