Might be timely with the annual cloudiest day in the world coming up again (otherwise known as the Persieds Meteor Shower).

HELLO im classy and ive always been facinated with astronomy and when ive seen it on the news about meteorite showers ive looked for them but ive always been unfortunate,except the one time i think it was 1999 in september i saw a shower it was awsum i wish i could see 1 every night ,can u please tell me when the next shower will be and weather or not it will be as visible as the last one i saw ,also when are we goin to see another comet grace our skies,i live in south yorkshire,just for the record

Hi Classy!
Did you read the entry? There was a list of meteor showers and the date around which the peak of the shower usually occurs...
But in answer to your question:
April 21 will feature the Lyrids with about 15 meteors per hour
and then on May 4 there's the Eta Aquarids with about 20 per hour.

Perhaps emigrate to Canada?
Or Northern-most Scotland?
They have fabulous meteorite showers there, so I'm told.
