Wow. I didn't think there were many cudites left in the world. Cheers for bringing them to the attention of the world, although I have to say Cud were one of the bands I thought I might write an entry about. Oh, well, nevermind.
There's one disc I've got to add to the discography - the 7" that has Cud covering a Family Cat song 'Remember What it is That You Love', backed with the Family Cat doing 'Strange Kind of Love'. I can't remember any more details at this time, but if you would like them I can find the single in question and let you know.
Just out of interest, what's your Cud highlight?

Oh, and another thing, the quarter of Bungalow that was in the Wedding present was Darren Belk, as mentioned in your excellent Wedding Present entry!

Thank you for that little bit of info - I wondered where Mr Belk had come from. I'll add that bit in to the Wedding Present entry asap.
You Cudlights far outweigh mine, I'm afraid, nothing quite so personal as comparing gentalia, anyway. I was lucky enough to see them in Spring 1989 (I guess around the time of When in Rome, Kill Me or one of the singles) in the Arts Centre in Exeter - maximum capacity about 100 people. I had friends in the support band too, so that made it even more of a great night. I also have one of Steve Goodwin's old drum skins that I bought from the merchandise stall at the International in Manchester (around the time when NME couldn't leave him alone). Being a drummer myself (at least I was at the time) it's quite a nice thing to own.
Musically I'd go for Vocally Speaking. Can you top that song?

Only a Prawn (In Whitby) is definately the best.
BTW, Mark Moxon (grumpy, bearded, h2g2 editor) is a big cud fan!

I've just referenced your Cud entry in my Wedding Present entry. I don't know whether one should ask permission before doing so, if so then please accept my apologies and take this as a very nicely worded, pleading request.

It's http://www.bbc.co.uk/guide/A565247 if you want to check that I haven't used Cu's name in vain.
I really should try and get it together before posting three messages instead of one ...

Your wedding present entry is very very good indeed!
I look forward to this being in the edited guide where it belongs.
You don't need to ask permission to reference my entry at all!

you both may be a little surprised to note that there are approaching a 100 of us (if you take into account duplcate IDs ) and we can be found at [url removed by moderator] William has even been known to pop by
current projects - MP3 rarities of the late and great
next one will be a video to MPEG compliation (hopefully) but for more of this kind of cud stuff pop by - we're harmless (mostly)

My email address is a.l.brown+the 'at' sign+doctors.org.uk (split up so the moderators don't remove it for being a link!!!!)

I have a copy of the CUD/Family Cat single. It was supplied in a polythyene bag with a thin paper sleeve folded in two.
CUD in my opinion was the best band live and the atmosphere was tremendous when everybody started chanting "You fat b*****d" to Carl Puttnam.

Hi Catwoman! Massive relief to finally find someone who knows who I'm on about when I talk about the greatest band on earth! Need your help please. Lost some records in a fire - desperately need to replace Leggy Mambo and When in Rome... Know any websites that know who Cud are??? Thanks :O) Weegle

Definitely the best band live. Carl's voice... Best atmosphere of any concerts I've been to. Wish I could go again! Claim to fame - bumping into Carl outside toilets just before gig in Manchester and getting Mike's playlist off the stage at same gig. Treasured possession!!

Having spent years in Cud wilderness I am now frantically trying to get hold of When in Rome, Elvis Belt & Leggy Mambo. Trawled the various websites but alas with no success. Any helpful hints will be really appreciated. They were an amazing band.
Cheers

Sorry for interrupting your conversation

Yeah I once tried to get a Canadian girlfriend of mine to appreciate the greatness that was Cud with minimal success. I think they were a band that only those of a certain psychological make up appreciated!
