Trig mnemonics

Post 1

Pete, never to have a time-specific nick again (Keeper of Disambiguating Semicolons) - Born in the Year of the Lab Rat

SOHCAHTOA is OK as a mnemonic for some peaople, but I always found the following much more memorable:

Two Old Angels, Sitting On High, Chatting About Heaven

This translates into T=O/A, S=O/H, C=A/H

Of course, it's a matter of opinion which is better.

Darn, can't even remember the one I was told at school about it. As much as I can remember the CAH became Caught A Herring or something like that.
Anyone else remember that version?

Sad, Mad or Bad? - I always wanted to be a dino, but alas, I'm just old.

Oh dear. I had such boring teachers. They never taught me anything like that smiley - blue.

Thomas

The mnemonic I was taught left out the s, c, and t. Ours was

Oneida Had
A Hold
On Alcoa

(Oneida is my High School and the mnemonic was created the day of the big championship game against Alcoa High)

It's one of the few useful things my Trig teacher taught me.
