Thanks for the read - interesting for someone whose horse knowledge is slightly limited!

I love the operator's console. It's like the bridge on the Starship Enterprise or something. smiley - biggrin

Well, admit it, you're chomping at the bit to write it. I'm sure we won't need to spur you on.

Ok, ok, I'll stop now. smiley - laugh

I'm still editing it. Trying to describe the fitting of the bridle purely in words with no pictorial or gestural explanation is virtually impossible to do clearly!

And it'll need a little tweaking into guide ML... smiley - winkeye

It's sort of written itself into a very basic guide to a novice tacking up a horse or pony with basic English tack. Starts with descriptions of the tack, what they are used for and what they will look like, where they go and instructions on things to look out for (sharp edges on bits for instance), then descrbes putting them on the horse. Finishes with tightening the girth for mounting and adjusting the stirrup leathers so they are approximately the right length with an encouragement to enjoy the first lesson with a qualified instructor!

It covers the saddle, bridle and martingales just in case they are fitted, and I have put in references to the complicated world of bits, nosebands etc. and it not being your problem at this stage!

Hope it's ok, it's LONG!
