I just read a cute article[http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/newsid_1574000/1574361.stm]. Apparently, someone has sued because of airport noise coming from Heathrow. The European Court of Human Rights said that flights between 11pm and 6 am were a violation of Article 8 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms because it interferes with their right to a good nights sleep.
Like these idiots didn't notice the airport that's been there for decades when they moved in. And I thought we had lunatic judges here the US.
Article 8 – Right to respect for private and family life1
Everyone has the right to respect for his private and family life, his home and his correspondence.
There shall be no interference by a public authority with the exercise of this right except such as is in accordance with the law and is necessary in a democratic society in the interests of national security, public safety or the economic well-being of the country, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others.
