Bad Breath and Ticks on Dogs
Rakaramba Started conversation Dec 1, 2000
Another absurd, but workable trick to use on your dog: My family has always had dogs and for a while, we lived in the Middle east. Ticks were prolific and rather than pulling them out (possibly leaving the head inside, even if you twist counter-clockwise) or smearing the dog liberally in butter (never seemed to work), we used a fresh clove of garlic. If you rub it round the dogs bowl before feeding, it discourages the ticks and as a by-product, sweetens the breath. That's right - sweetens !
