It's also fine stuff if you've got toothache. Just swill a largish mouthful around the sore bit for a couple of minutes, and bingo! The pain has gone - firstly dulled by the burning sensation of the raki itself, and secondly removed almost entirely by that numb alcohol feeling.

I find that works with a number of pains. And with a number of alcoholic drinks. Talking as someone who'd been in pain several times, Drink alot of alcohol, and you don't feel it. I've seen people who could barely walk skip after a nice binge.
